What options do I have that would use the true speed of my

Is it not possible that your USB port is acting up and downgrades
to lower speed? USB ports would do that.

With it being a backup solution, it may be doing some sort of write verification above and beyond what a "normal" copy/move processes would
do. That would cause throughput to be slower if it is doing so.

I'm using Macrium Reflect and am getting a steady 265MB/s. Almost 5 times faster than Acronis.

What changed, other than switching software? Did your pc go
through a shut-down reboot sequence? Sometimes the latter "fixes"
USB port issues.
