    Hello All!

Just curious if there is such a thing as a win32 native
FTN tosser? I have found fmail, but it unfortunaly only does hudon or JAM. I use *.MSG and Squish. I /could/ change to
JAM but then I'd have to find another twit filter. LOL

I think I remember crashmailII having a windows port, but I
could be wrong. Of course I can't find anything on google.

I use hpt with my Telegard setup which can do jam, squish & msg.

    The latest is build is:
    husky-all-1.9-w32msvc6dll-perl510-hptzip-20240302.zip

If you have FastEcho setup you can convert that config over to hpt with fecfg2fconf.exe (which is what I did).

Was a bit of a learning curve as all config is just text files, here is what I'm using with my Telegard setup:

I have the Win32 version of Squish if you want it... I don't think I've
seen a port of CrashMail II to Windows.

If I have it, I'll drop it in our mailbox here so you'll get it the next
    time you pull mail.

    Okay very cool.

is what I'm using with my Telegard setup:

Grabbed your examples just in case. I'm pretty good with text config
having run Maximus for a long time. I always default to fastecho for a
quick install because you can have it configured and running in about 2 mins.

I will for sure be looking into the HPT stuff. Thanks!

Thanks again - I've got HPT running now, both in and outbound as well as the various tools. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is the nodelist. Is there a nodelist compiler? If not what do you use? I do have dos still (as I'm using timed).

I ran all in one packages for a long time. (Talisman, Magicka, Ezycom)

Ah yes, I don't have that configured in the windows one.

In the "config" file here on linux I have:

    [config]
    nodelistdir /home/ubuntu/fido/nodelist

    Nodelist NODELIST
    Defaultzone 1
    Fullupdate /home/ubuntu/fido/fileechoes/dailylist/Z1DAILY
    Dailynodelist on

    Nodelist FSXNET
    Defaultzone 21
    Fullupdate /home/ubuntu/fido/fileechoes/fsx_node/FSXNET

    Nodelist MICRONET
    Defaultzone 618
    Fullupdate /home/ubuntu/fido/fileechoes/min_list/MICRONET
    [/config]

I just run "nlupd -F" which finds the latest version of each nodelist and
moves it to the directory specified in nodelistdir. It doesn't compile them into any specific format and I'm not sure what (if anything) hpt does with the nodelist. nlupd can also generate a FIDOUSER.LST which I don't use.

Since the newest nodelist is always in that directory I tell golded to use those ones:

    [golded.cfg]
    NODEPATH /home/ubuntu/fido/nodelist/

    NODELIST NODELIST.*
    NODELIST FSXNET.*
    NODELIST MICRONET.*
    [/golded.cfg]

And then run GoldNode Nodelist Compiler (gnlnx for me on linux). I add this to my daily maintenance script.

I also point the nl2binkd linux script at those nodelists to generate a binkd compatible nodelist.

That works for Golded yes. Working fine now too thanks. I don't /need/ the nodelist in anything except golded anyway... Sem point has it's own compiler.
Yeah I'm gonna stop obsessing and call it a day. Thansk!

Apreciate the help with HPT. Glad it's working here now, wasn't as hard to configure as I thought it would be.
