• Old Days

I was thinking about Dial Up BBS's.
I know THE BBS I am using still has a phone connection even though I access it online .

What I was thinking about was some of them had a time Limit of say 30 Minutes max.
Lots of times I couldn't read all of the new posts and would have to call back later that day to read them all. Note: I was using a C=64 at that time.

One BBS wouldn't allow a user to log on after they was the last one that signed in and I might have to wait several hours to log on it again if nobody had called it that day.

It was GREAT later when I got a DOS 5 computer and could use QWK to grab new posts and get off in a flash so others could use the BBS too.
I could take all the time I wanted reading messages so others could call the Board while I was indulging myself reading new stuff.

Just dreaming, since I don't know if a Android phone could do QWK like the home PC did.

Of course Android can do QWK, it's just a matter of whether anyone has
been bothered to write an app to do so.

Slowly I have planned to use my home computer(s) to use data through this phone.

Want to connect a Bluetooth device to WAN output of wired router to send data through BT on cellphone.

Been .mentioning it since January 2024 , one of these days I will find my ROUNDTUIT.
