e-Ministries Devotions
article #0027
by: Jon Justvig ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been awhile since I last entried in the e-Ministries blog/echo. How
are our fellow family and friends doing... A general question that people
ask as begin fellowship with members of the body of Christ Jesus. We're
going to be discussing love in this article. Love comes from many different aspects; as simple as a smile, a chore, a favor to someone without expecting anything back in return, just about anything. Love can be translated as charity. What do you think when you hear charity? Giving right? I've
heard that a friend in need is a friend indeed and that it's better to give than it is to receive. These last few weeks have gotten hectic for the
entire world; everyone around us. My prayer is that we continue to have fellowship with each other even it's a simple greeting and smile. One
small gesture can change the entire world. Let us keep positive through
these days and crisis.
I hope you're doing well. I, myself, am doing well along with my wife and
new puppy. It's been a real blessing to have something, lose a lot then
get an abundance in replacement. I've also heard that time is the most precious gift. You can't buy it back. Each second is critical. I hope
this article uplifts and brings peace to everyone reading.
A smile... sometimes can be a deceiving grin or a genuine motion of happi-
ness to look into someones eyes with the lips brighten. Share a smile
with someone; a smile to anyone you come into contact with.
So we're discussing love/charity. Jesus laid down his life, took the sins
of the world and was crucified. A life for the whole world. I've heard
that we only need to ask for forgiveness once. After that, repent and turn
and not do the same sin again; easier than said right? Life is expected
slips and slides, twists and turns. We reap what we sow as it's said
in scripture. My hope is that we better our lives and have an impact on
others to do the right thing.
A needy friend may seem annoying to someone sometimes...but, what if it was
you that needed food, clothing, housing, water...the necessities and every- where you turn you're constantly being denied. Throughout my own life as
a testament of personal experience that God is the God of Love. He loves
us so much and knows us more than we know ourselves as sometimes we forget things and he knows how many hairs on your body; some might say they don't
have hair...He knows that too; the number of pebbles of sand in at a beach
or anything. God is the Author of everything; the Alpha and Omega.
As we close this article, remember to believe in yourself and trust God
in all things. We often worry like the men on the boat while Jesus was sleeping to calm the waters. Perfect love casts out all fear. So let us
walk in perfect love today as we journey the days ahead of us.
Have a great day! Glory to His Holy Name Jesus!
