Hello,
I am trying to install a fresh sbbs in windows 11 x64. I have tried multiple installs, but when I try to view the statistics I get an error that says
!Error openeing e:\sbbs\ctrl\csts.tab
That file is not there. I have an old sbbs installation (XP) and it's there.
I installed the pre-req vc and the 16bit ntvdm.
Is there a way to generate this file / did I miss doing something?
When there's user activity, that file will be created.
If this is an upgrade from a previous version, ctrl/csts.dab should be auto-converted to csts.tab.

I had created the initial sysop user account and guest account but the file was not created.
I eneded up installing 3.19b on a clean install and
copying the file from it to the 3.20d. That seemed to fix it.
SCFG->System->Toggle options->Include Sysop in Statistic (defaults to "No").
I eneded up installing 3.19b on a clean install andYeah, that shouldn't be necessary.

I have been testing a few things and the issue persists. I created multiple new user accounts and have them perform activity. The actual log files are being generated each day (validated by viewing from BBS - View - Today's (or other) logs. They just don't seem to be making it to the GUI summary log.
I've logged in and let any automated scripts run for multiple days.
When I am looking at the statistics page of the GUI it looks like a total sum of all the non-SysOp account activity - it never seems to "roll over." If I click on View Log button, it only shows 4/27 activity - the date of the new installation.
Again, what's odd is the file was not generated in 3.20d automatically. In the 3.19b it generated the file even though i did not create any non sysop (and non guest) user.
I've done a fresh install about 3 times to confirm this is the behavior. Be happy to test anything to see what I might be missing.

I just did a fresh install of Synchronet for Windows v3.20d (the latest release) and I can confirm this issue: the ctrl/csts.tab file is not created. I can take it from here and get this resolved. Thanks for the bug report!

Ok at least I'm not going (that) crazy. Thanks for confirming.
Is there any type of command I can run to generate it?

Hopefully last question for a while - could you give me a sample text format? (ie: Date=5/1/2025) - that didn't work. Not sure if I should make it look like LastWrite or PrevLast Write.
If this is in fact the issue, the work around would be to just edit the various dsts.ini files (in ctrl and each node directory) and set the "Date" > field to the current date, e.g. Date=May 1 2025--

I posted an example earlier today:

Date=5/1/2025 should've worked as well.
Date=5/1/2025 should've worked as well.
How I tested it: I put "Date=4/1/2025" in the root section of ctrl/dsts.ini

Got it. 5/1/2025 didn't seem to work, but 4/30/2025 did (after closing and re-openeing the control panel). I'll see if it updates tomorrow correctly.
