• Binkp or just plain connecting

On to the next thing on my list.
I used the fidonet connection program, and so far, I am connected to Dove-Net (which isn't a fido connection). I believe I am connected to HobbyNet (I poll and get and receive mail). I am not getting anything from HealthNet or tqwNet when I poll. I believe I set them up basically the same.
If you can help me, I'd appreciate it. What do you need to help you?

    1. Do you have an assigned node address (to your BBS) for each network?
    2. Do you have an AreaManager/AreaFix password for each network hub?
    3. Have you sent AreaManager requests to each network hub?

For FTNs (FidoNet Technology Networks), the primary tool you'll want to use to help you remotely query and control your echomail feed is your hub's AreaManager (often called AreaFix, the original FTN AreaManager application). You interact with each hub's AreaManager by sending a netmail message (usually to AreaFix@<your hub's FTN address>) with your AreaManager password as the message subject and a list of echo/area-tags or commands in the message body. Different AreaManager programs might have slightly different syntax or features, but they mostly work just about the same. For the SBBSecho AreaManager command syntax (relavent if any of your hub/uplinks are running Synchronet) can be seen here:

Most FTN networks require that you download their info packets, fill out
the official application, and send it in to have a node number and hub assigned.

Many FTN networks (Micronet, for one) do not consider the email that is
sent by init-fidonet.js to be a valid form of application. You will not
likely get any mail in most of those networks until you follow the
procedures outlined in their info packets or on their websites.

If you have already applied for, and received, a node number and hub and
are still having issues, the best place to ask for assistance is your hub.
They can check their logs and tell you what they are seeing (or not seeing).

    1. Do you have an assigned node address (to your BBS) for each network?

    Yes. HobbyNet: 954:200/56. HealthNet: 999/1:6. tqwNet: 1337:3/208

    2. Do you have an AreaManager/AreaFix password for each network hub?

    Yes. Same as for you.

    3. Have you sent AreaManager requests to each network hub?

No. They said it was already turned on. But I can do that just to make sure.
    It can't hurt.

I have. It seems that me not finding the issue is wearing patience thin. It's just weird that settings on one is not working for the other.

Refresh my memory. Is the problem that you are not connecting, or that you
    are just not receiving mail?

It was connecting, they couldn't connect to me. When I polled, it got the mail distributed it fine.
I went out of town this weekend, and now it's working fine. I was giving it a few days to see if it would revert to the old ways. So either the servers recycled and it finally took the changes I made, or it's like the guy with the changing time. LOL.
So, I just went back through everything and looked for something different and the only thing I saw different, was an uplink address was different from the poll address. It was /1 and not /2.
Thanks for looking into this. It kepy me hammering at it.
