A change in U.S. policy is not a good idea

After World War II, the U.S. had learned its lesson.
Europe should not remain divided to the core, and it should never again become so militarily powerful.
After two world wars, the U.S. finally understood. Europe experienced an unprecedented long period of peace and prosperity.
Until Trump arrived.
Trump has no regard for history.
Lessons learned mean nothing to him. Trump looks at the money.
Trump sees the U.S. paying enormous amounts for defense, while Europe spends less than 2% on its weak armies.
The lessons learned are being thrown overboard.
