I also find it very ironic that a lot of the same folks who claimed in 2020 that elections cannot be rigged are now convinced that Musk must
    have done so in 2024.

When's the last time any candidate won all swing states?

Probably around the same time a certain party chose not to primary their candidate, went from "this is the best, strongest version of this president we've ever seen" to "here is a cackling hyena spouting gypsy curses". Last minute, we'll throw in "white wine mom drunk" as our choice FOR you, because it's too late to allow the peasants to choose their own candidate.

They need to do better. MUCH better.

Didn't Biden come pretty close to doing so (keeping in mind that the "swing states" differ some each election)?

Other times I remember it happening was when one candidate is a lot weaker
than the other... like Reagan vs. Mondale. The Democrats switching horses
so late in the race most certainly weakened their ability to stay in power. Switching to a candidate who had spent most of her four years as VP looking overwhelmed anytime the spotlight was on her didn't help. Spending ~100
days before the election looking competent wasn't going to erase that.

If she had spent her four years looking like she did at the second debate,
I likely would have been swayed to vote for her but, as it was, I had to
look somewhere down the list to find someone I felt was competent enough, reasonable enough, and "not a convicted felon" enough to cast my vote for,
even though their stated policies likely don't align with mine.

Considering that a higher percentage of voters either skipped the
Presidential race, or voted third party, than voted for either Trump or
Harris, I don't doubt there were a lot of voters with a similar mindset to mine.

The answer you're looking for is 2004, when Reagan won all 49 states.

Your numbers and stats seem a bit off here. Are you using AI, by chance?

If you meant 1984, then sure. :P

No AI, just too many open windows. :)
