On 27 Oct 2024, Mike Powell said the following...

Reagan had at least one kid (maybe more) that didn't like him as President, either. Walz supposedly has a brother that doesn't think
much of Tim's political career. Guess there is potentially one in every political family.

We have a Marxist Lesbian living in our basement.... She's almost 30... Every time Trump has a rally I turn the TV up so that the neighbors can hear.

And about Dick's daughter not liking him... I was trying to be funny with the fact that, that one anyways, is a lesbian...

I still think its funny and I laughed for the both of us.

Is your state's GOP doing anything about the unfair law?

Yes, but it doesn't matter because it takes time for the courts to handle things and the election will be over by then.

That's a pleasant surprise. NY's GOP minority never puts up a fight for anything.

I met our state senator and I didn't really understand the meaning of "milqueoast" until then.

Someone told me that the state senate and state assembly candidates get paid like $200k by the taxpayers just for running. I'm not sure how true it is, but that would explain why many of these minority GOP ever run for office in the first place. ($200k can buy a lot of crack.)

I met my district's candidate for state senate a few days ago. He seems cool. I think he'll win at least, but I wonder if he will do more than just get elected.

who moved out of the county, etc. All that stuff should have been cleaned up a long time ago but it's still a mess.

Yes, it should. And, at least here in Michigan, we have filed suits against the Sec of State (who is in charge of those things) to perform
her duty. But the Deep State plants in the courts have derailed things.

Look at all these fancy job titles that we have for people; just so that they can get a paycheck, do nothing for us, and ignore their own laws.

    Were the democrats getting kisses?

I dunno. You are the one that said that CNN had become conservative.

They are not conservative as in Fox, Newsmax, RSBN or the like.

Those are not exactly what I would call conservative either.

I am trying to imagine why, since you won't supply any examples.

I don't spend a lot of time on CNN but (some of) their content of late has been conservative leaning. It could be CNN ownership has changed.

I don't know the reason but CNN of today is not the same as CNN of yesterday.

The link here rates them left-center but also credible. Maybe you perceived them as being less conservative (and more to your liking) back when they were not so credible.

I think they get that for their campaign. I haven't researched it, but I remember reading that candidates can qualify for gov't funding to run their campaign.

    But the question is "why?"

They are being rated as "credible" so I don't see a problem there. If a
source agrees with everything I think but is also rated as "not credible"
or worse, then I do see a problem.

    But the question is "why?"

Back in the day, when many of the folks who were running were not career politicians and/or already rich, it might have made sense. Got to question
it now, though, especially since in some areas you only qualify for such
things if you are running as a Democrat or Republican.

They are not right as in Fox, Newsmax, or RSBN. They have just moved to the right.
