Does anybody have any clue who controls the Fidonet WikiPedia page?
It needs to be updated ... badly ... for at least a decade.

To paraphrase former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura:
I'm 76 years old now, so the window is closing. I want to be alive to see the first woman President of the United States of America.
A good follow-on question would be: How many people (American or otherwise) do you think actually give a shit about what a wanker like
Jesse Ventura thinks about politics?
That's right! About 3, which includes you.

With or without login, anyone can edit an article, Ward.

Magnitudes more than who gives a shit about what a misogynic wanker like you thinks. About anything.

Oh. What a surprise. Another Marxist obsessed with USA business, who thinks he knows more about the USA than those who live here.
Pffffftttt.
Probably I do know more about it than 99% of those who live there.

Haven't we heard this reasoning before, but about language understanding?
"How dare you tell me what it means, it's my native tongue?" to you and Michiel, who both have a much better grip on the English language than almos all Fidonet participants (except, of course, the excellent David Rance).
I would never claim to know so much about Swedish and Sweden just because was born and live here. I know perfectly well that we, like every other country, have a lot of ignoramuses.
In the US, only an average of 3% know how many freedoms and what they are listed in their sacred 1st amendment.
In the US, only an average of 35% of citizens by birth would pass the citizen test. 91% of immigrants pass the test the first time, and 7% more th second time (after that, there are no more tries).
In the US, half of the voters have still, after nine years, not seen that the Orange Emperor has no clothes.
I rest my case.

I know shit about that, which was why I am asking.
Strange concept, isn't it?
To paraphrase former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura:
Yeah.... "paraphrase".... Try using some actual citations/quotes of things that people actually *SAY*, not what your addled little brain wishes they'd say.

Catching up but I like the tagline! Just not the candidate.
<SNIP a bunch of unsubstantiated claims, and outright lies>
Nahhhh ... but I don't like Harris because 'her choice of clothing', or 'her hair could be better" or "Now what kind of woman would use that
kind of lipstick" ... So I'll vote for Trump. Really? ??

I can't even understand why a woman would consider a convicted felon, a rapist, a cheat, a liar, a person who denigrates women, a game-show celebrity star with Nazi-traits (after I'm elected there will be no
need for further elections).

You can submit content updates but are subject to "discussion" by others.
Which if you study the Talk section history, can turn into the same babbling techno-nonsense as what happens here sometimes, and nothing gets accomplished.
Yeah, there's a reason I stopped contributing to Wikipedia long, long ago.
Even with well sourced, factual contirbutions a slew of "editors" jumped i and reverted the changes with no explanation over and over again.
Anyone who brings up Wikipedia in some stupid argument has already lost.
You can't just dismiss something you don't like because "Wikipedia said so". Examine the citations and look at the sources.
Carol,

Women in the USA have now the greatest opportunity ever to elect a female president ... ever. If all the women would unite and say "this is the person want to elect" then that person becames the President.
I'm not talking about Democrats or Republicans, I'm not talking about left o right.
Women generally "care", they take charge of the household and the USA are ab the biggest household by itself.
A female president would be the greatest shake-up of US=society which by any definition in the book is a male bastion.
I can't even understand why a woman would consider a convicted felon, a rapi a cheat, a liar, a person who denigrates women, a game-show celebrity star w Nazi-traits (after I'm elected there will be no need for further elections).
Reading John Bolton's "The Room where it all happened" should be a requireme for any voter (John Bolton was a Trump-supporter from day-1 and became Natio Security Advisor until he decided he couldn't take it anymore) or that other book "Fear" by Bob Woodward... Remember January 6th 2021, remember the unfounded claims about rigged voting, remember the more than 80 law suits wh he all lost ... how could anyone in their right mind vote for such a person?
Nahhhh ... but I don't like Harris because 'her choice of clothing', or 'her hair could be better" or "Now what kind of woman would use that kind of lipstick" ... So I'll vote for Trump. Really? ??
That's the reason why Hillary Rodham lost in 2016 ... America's women gossip about the only woman who ever got that far. The fact that she is brilliant doesn't matter ... the fact that she decided her adultering husband deserved second chance doesn't matter ... and she encountered a bully.
Sorry, Carol, elect someone for the right reasons, not for the wrong ones...

Sorry Ward but if we wanted one with 2 brain cells capable of firing at
the same time or at least in a related manner. we'd have elected
Hillary. In her case, it was lack of character that ruled her out.
The current one is just an airhead. Don't worry, we'll get a serious one eventually. This just isn't the time.
Ward Dossche wrote to Carol Shenkenberger <=-
I predict that during the debates Kamala Harris will slice Trump thin enough that Arby's will be using them in their sandwiches. She's a true politician with knowledge and understaqnding of the goings-on and in a debate about charater Trump doesn't stand a chance. It's not going to
be a reality show this time, Carol, but as the French say "Ze real
zing".
Her legal knowledge is going to make the difference, of course, you
need to be smart enough to see it.
Of course whatever the outcome, Trump will get a substantial number of votes because so many airheads without a brain will vote for him, a
nice selection of them can even be found in the nodelist. None of them understanding the responsibility that comes with being the President.
Bugger off and mind your own business. Pay some more taxes and lose a
few more freedoms, while you're at it.
