I just read about ballot drop boxes being set of fire in the United States. The article said that they were trying to retrieve voter information from the ballots to contact them and the arcticle had a
photo of a red box out on the open street. :-O
How does that work? Is your name on the ballot or just on a second envelope that gets removed before counting teh votes? How can you tell
if the drop box is official? Why isn't the box inside a building to protect it? Why is noone guarding it?

I don't have the answers but I just wanted to say that these are good questions. I live in a part of the USA that does not use them and I
have never heard of "ballot boxes" until this happened.
What is the point of the ballot box?
Why don't they just use the mail instead?
What is the procedure for retrieval of the ballots from the box?
How will the votes be counted if the ballots are unreadable from the damage?

Ballot boxes are illegal in most of the country. I'm surprised you
didn't hear about them because they were a focus on the voter fraud that happened in 2020. See the movie "2000 Mules".
What is the procedure for retrieval of the ballots from the box?
Supposedly like the Mail. A certified person with a key unlocks the box and takes them to be processed.
How will the votes be counted if the ballots are unreadable from the damage?
They won't be. People who used that ballot box should be contacting
their local gov't office to get a new ballot. Or better yet, vote in person.

You can't. Most people don't use them.

In my opinion, if you are using an unmanned ballot box to cast your vote, yo are only asking for trouble.
I've never had a problem with a dropoff ballot.
Why don't they just use the mail instead?
Because postal employees are not election workers tasked with
maintaining the viability of ballots.

People are being asked to call the election office in their area if
they dropped off their ballot between certain windows of time when
ballots would have been in the box. They can either request another
ballot or appear at their voting location and request a provisional
ballot.

I will try to find that film. Wikipedia calls that film "a conspiricist film" that makes "false claims." (And we all know what that means when translated.)

I wonder if that "certified person" likes money? Money is likeable.
My concern is that the "certified person" will put the unreadably
damaged ballots in the Kamala pile.

Of course. And that's how a box of ballots will "fall out of the van while driving down the road because the door was not secured - and the driver didn't notice". Yes, this recently happened.
Just like they did here in Michigan where we have evidence of 1 person voting like 16,000 times.

Voters could sell their votes by making a photo of the ballot before putting it in the envelope. Someone could point a gun to your head to "assist making up your mind". And ballots could be lost after you got
your drop off confirmation.

It almost sounds like it's the box of ballots' fault :)

That's difficult to compete with. Leftists aren't afraid to break the
law because they never have anything to lose.
Voters could sell their votes by making a photo of the ballot beforeHas any of this happened and was documented in a US election?
