You know how they always have those articles telling us to eat bugs?
Well the cicadas are out after 17 years. articles are saying everyone eats them! we call them tree shrimp. no we do not.
Anyways, people are going to state parks and harvesting them and dnr is mad. https://www.wisn.com/article/wisconsin-dnr-issues-warning-harvesting- cicadas-illegal-wisconsin/61244222

Are they mad because people are doing it, or because someone was aggressive in getting them to do their jobs?
Either way, that is pretty wild that people would be out harvesting them.
doing a mass genocide on these horrible cicadas could affect the ecosystem. they basically evolved to do this 17 year cycle so they wouldn't be wiped out,
as well.
Either way, that is pretty wild that people would be out harvesting them.
There have been a lot of articles in my area saying where the bugs are and doing an 'everyone's doing it' article about collecting them and eating them.
Supposedly this is being pushed the most by rich, and often European,
people, like Bill Gates and some guy named Schwab.
Agreed. No we do not. ;)

DNR should just be happy they aren't drinking the cow milk that will give them
the chicken virus to wash down the cicadas.

It's all very annoying. The not so silent drum beat of another pandemic, people harvesting and eating bugs, the number of chickens and cows being culled to "save the planet" is a bit .. dystopian for sure.
i'm still not so sure why chicken is so expensive when we can produce chickens so fast. go look up morgan spurlock's doc on chickens

people are posting their grocery receipts from last year, comparing them to the same items. prices are about 2x.
Yep... 4 years ago, I was putting $1000/month in my savings account after paying off my house.
Now every month, I have to take the $1000 out of my savings account just to pay my bills.
But our gov't assures us that we are much better off now than we were then...
Who the fuck are those morons kidding???

In some Autonomies in Spain they are denying farming licenses "to save the planet". It does not matter you can produce chickens and eggs like crazy if yo
can't produce them at scale.
Then there is the fact both the EUR and the USD have lost a lot of power worldwide since the sphere of influence of the Western block has shrunk. Now there is more currency than people can handle, so prices naturally raise.

yeah i've been dipping into the credit cards way too much.
i'll have to run leaner and pay them off aggressively.
people actually believe this, too. that's why you can't trust people.
our forefathers in the usa even mentioned you can't trust people to make judgements. that's why we don't have a democracy.

Is that an EU initiative, or something that these autonomies are doing on their own?

Those that are culling the chickens and cows (ones that are not infected) are only starting the next issue we are going to have, and are contributing to any shortages we might already have.

Yes, it's easy to see and hear the rumblings of a pandemic. Beit "climate change" or the chicken flu. I'm just not buying the b.s. relating to it transmitting to a cow, then threw the cows raw milk to a human.
Lots of reasons, the culling being one. We own chickens. The price of feed i
up significantly, and many brands are made by Purina. Purina and Tractor Supply were within the news (and all over social media platforms) as making food that was slowing if not stopping the production of eggs. As soon as people changed brands, their chickens started laying again.
